Bog skulks are small, mysterious creatures with vicious teeth and claws. They turned up in Quagmire Fen some time ago. No one seems to know what they are or where they came from.

Spencer Foster is a young man who has lived his entire life in the poor backwater of Quagmire Fen. He despises the swamp, and wants only to leave and start a new life in the city with his girlfriend. But his callous drunkard of a father has other ideas.

Very soon, Spencer’s life is irrevocably changed. His destiny is now linked to the bog skulks and Quagmire Fen.

What are the bog skulks? Where did they come from? What is the connection between Spencer Foster and the odd beings he’s given so little thought to?

New Year’s 2013 Blog Hop

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope it’s already off to a great start for you!

Thank you for dropping by and welcome to my official website/blog and my first post of 2013. This year is shaping up to be a HUGE year for me on personal and professional levels.

On the personal level, this summer I’ll be marrying my wonderful, gorgeous fiancée—best-selling, critically-acclaimed paranormal author Desirée Lee (http://www.desireelee.com). Desirée and I are also expecting the birth of our first child this summer, as well.

On the professional level, there are several projects that Desirée and I are involved with that are all coming to fruition. Please keep checking back here for more information on those. There are a LOT of surprises in store for 2013, including, soon, the release of my ninth book. This will be my first novella. It’s titled “Quagmire Fen” and is being released by Umbral Press. Since I just told you about that one, it doesn’t really qualify as a surprise anymore, does it? Oh well. There are plenty of other things in store for this year that I won’t spill the beans about just yet.

One thing I truly hope to see in 2013 is a strong response from the film producer who has expressed interest in my eighth novel, “Quintana Roo, Yucatan”. That book was released on November 10, 2012. Already a film producer has expressed interest in a movie adaptation. The book was also nominated for the Paranormal Romance Guild’s 2012 Reviewers’ Choice Awards for the action/adventure category. While it didn’t win the award, it held the second-place spot steadily throughout the voting.

Blurb: Rikki Breitenberg is an archeologist in charge of the first team of American documenters allowed by the Mexican government to explore newly discovered Mayan ruins in the Yucatan. However, shortly after their arrival in Mexico, things go awry. Treacherous jungle, inclement weather and dangerous wildlife are only the beginning.
When Rikki and her team run afoul of members of an ancient cult devoted to the worship of a bloodthirsty god, things take a terrifying turn for the worse. During their struggle for survival, the team makes a startling discovery that may rewrite the whole of human history. Will they survive to bring their amazing find back to civilization?

“Quintana Roo, Yucatan” can be found, among other retailers, on Amazon, in paperback and for Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/Quintana-Roo-Yucatan-ebook/dp/B00A5WKT40 It can also be found on other major retailers’ sites in both paperback and e-book formats. As a thank you for the excellent work they’ve done for Desirée and myself, please click HERE to visit My Book Trailers at their website.

As part of the New Years Blog Hop, I’m offering a free giveaway—a PDF copy of my seventh novel, “Shadow Castes: Book 1 – Aspects”. Please go HERE to enter to win! To learn more about the book, please visit HERE.

“Shadow Castes: Book 1 – Aspects” isn’t the only prize you can win on this blog hop, either. Over 200 other authors are involved in this hop! Each and everyone one of them is doing their own giveaway via their own blogs. You can reach them easily by clicking on the New Years Blog Hop graphic at the top or bottom of this post.

There are also hundreds of dollars in other prizes to be won—your choice of a Kindle Fire or Nook tablet, a $300 Amazon or Barnes & Noble gift card and more!

To enter to win one of these fantastic prizes, all you need to do is simply leave a comment on this blog post. Please leave your e-mail address with your comments; only comments with an e-mail can be considered entries for the prizes. The Grand Prize winner will be selected by Carrie Ann Ryan—author and organizer of this blog hop (thank you for allowing me to part of this hop, Carrie!). Entries for most of the prizes are not limited geographically. The only exception is the large swag prize; the winner for that prize will be selected from US-based entries only. That’s due to the high cost of international shipping.

Again, thank you for dropping by and please come back often for news and updates. 2013 is already shaping up to be a fantastic year! I hope that 2013 is a stellar year for you, too!
