Get in on the ground floor—advertise in the new comic book series “Wendy Markland: Chronicles Nocturnum”!

“Wendy Markland: Chronicles Nocturnum” is written, and lettered by award-winning, bestselling, critically-acclaimed author Scott Harper. Pencils, inks, and colors are by artist James Smith. Additional graphics are by bestselling author Desirée Lee. Issue #1 is ready to go to print! “Wendy Markland: Chronicles Nocturnum” is based on Scott Harper’s Wendy Markland novels.

We’re looking to fill eight ad pages in the first issue of “Wendy Markland: Chronicles Nocturnum”, bringing the page count up to the standard 32-pages, and off-set the printing costs. This project is being published by a new comic book publisher called Timeless Comics. The book will be launched locally, and grow from there. Because of the limited—for now—release, the rates for these ads are much, much lower than is typical for comic book ads. But advertisers still get the full impact of the name recognition of the team who put this book together!

Full-page ad—$50
2-page splash ad—$80

Any businesses in northern California or southern Oregon who would like to take advantage of this rare offer by securing ad space in the first issue of “Wendy Markland: Chronicles Nocturnum”, please contact project creator Scott Harper at Scott@scottharper.net.

“The Anarchist Cookbook”

As you all know, I’m an author—a bestselling, award-winning, critically-acclaimed author, at that. As such, I do a lot of research. Sometimes my research leads me to read some articles or books that most people might find a little odd. This is especially true since most of my work falls into the paranormal genre!

However, not all everything I write is paranormal. Take “Quintana Roo, Yucatan” for instance. It was my eighth novel. It was pretty much pure action/adventure. The plot pit a team of American archeologists against the modern day incarnation of an ancient Aztec cult in Mexico’s Quintana Roo region of the Yucatan peninsula. That book has become a fan favorite. It’s award-winning bestseller. You can find it, among other places, here—http://www.amazon.com/Quintana-Roo-Yucatan-Scott-Harper/dp/193937801X/officwebsio0a-20 And, I’m slowly putting together ideas for a sequel. In large part I’m thinking of continuing the story because of so many requests to that end by fans.

So…

In the interest of creating even more of a threat for the protagonists in a sequel, I’d like to get my hands on a copy of “The Anarchist Cookbook”. I’m sure creepy cultists who are skulking around the dense jungles of Quintana Roo would be willing and able to make use of things from that book in the interest of forwarding their cause, and/or revenge after the events of “Quintana Roo, Yucatan”.

Does anyone know where I might be able to obtain a copy of “The Anarchist Cookbook”—purely for research, I assure you Federal Agents who are no doubt going over this blog post with the proverbial fine-toothed comb due to its title, and subject matter! Or, better still, if anyone has a copy they’d like to donate to the project of a “Quintana Roo, Yucatan” sequel, please mail it to me at:

5-Star Review for “Quagmire Fen”

quagmirefen_Cover

“Quagmire Fen” is my most recent release. It’s my ninth book, but my first novella. It has also just picked up another 5-star review:

“What a wonderful, delightful, magical, tale! We have here a sort of bayou- backwoods-rural fantasy, with multiverses, magical beings, and alternate dimensions! The villainous characters (Otis and Randal) qualify as some of the nastiest, meanest, wastes-of-lives I’ve read; but the Good characters are precious, and heartwarming. There is hope in the swamp (and even in the city!)

If you like your paranormal with a flair of sci fi, and your romance with a flavor of paranormal–well, come right over here; have I got the tale for you!

A kind gift of the author provided me with a copy in return for my fair-and unpaid-review.”

That review can be found on Amazon, Goodreads, and other places.
