Chromotherapy?

Chromotherapy

As you all know, I’m Wiccan. It’s something I’ve talked about on this blog/website before a few times. And I’m sure you remember yesterday’s post here regarding my very strong suspicions that I suffer from depression. Over the years, reading various pagan books, I’ve run across the concept of chromotherapy a few times. And light is something I’ve always been fascinated by. Holograms. Prisms. Glowing fiber optic sculptures. Anything glow-in-the-dark. I can stare at any of them for hours.

Now, coping with depression, I’m starting to delve into chromotherapy a bit more. I can’t help but wonder what benefits I might gain from it. Some people might scoff at the idea that exposure to a certain color can have a solid affect on a person, be it physically, or mentally. There’s a lot of strong evidence for this, though, and it’s there for anyone who cares to look for it.

What I’m having trouble finding is any real how-to information. Resources I find, be they in books, or on-line, talk about chromotherapy, show off some vibrant colors, go on about the health benefits, but don’t really explain proper procedures for making use of chromotherapy. Most sources I find that hint at that are medical establishments, and basically say, “Give us a ton of money, and we’ll use chromotherapy to make you better” and stick a hand out for a pile of cash.

No thank you.

Chromotherapy is something I’m sure I can handle myself at home. I just need to learn how. I’m a husband, father, and bestselling, award-winning author. I have responsibilities to my family, and my fans. I need to cope with the depression – ASAP – and be able to handle those responsibilities. This is something I strongly suspect that I’ve been dealing with for years. But, for some reason, it’s gotten much, much worse over the past few weeks. I don’t know why. But I need to get a handle on this, and I need to do it right now.

So, I’m posting this in the hopes that one or more of my readers and fans might be knowledgeable enough in the field of chromotherapy to help me out with this. I won’t be a bit surprised if the doctor puts me on an antidepressant medication after the upcoming appointment. But if chromotherapy can add another angle of treatment, too, so much the better. If anyone reading this has the expertise and knowledge to give me a hand in this matter, please get in touch via the “Contact” page of my website. It would be greatly appreciated.
