It’s been a while since I’ve done any sort of interview, or Q/A. I’m very open to doing more. It doesn’t matter if it would be for a website, blog, or printed publication. I’m game for them all. Desirée Lee and I are wrapping up our new coauthored book “Hidden Tribe“. That’s the sasquatch novel we’ve been working so hard on for the past several months. I’d like very much to expand the spreading word of that book before its release. Anyone care to assist with that by way of conducting an interview? If so, please get in touch with me via the “Contact” page of my website.

Thank You, Everyone

I wanted to devote today’s post to simply thanking all of you – my readers, and fans – for joining me on the journey that my love of writing and literature has taken me on. A lot has happened since I had my first short story published back in August of 2002. I’ve been incredibly lucky. I consider myself even luckier to have all of you at my side through these experiences. It’s been an incredible thirteen years! And it wouldn’t have happened without the support from all of you. I can’t even imagine where the next thirteen will take us. But I look forward to finding out.

Again, thank you all.

Not too long ago, I mentioned here that I’ve been mulling over ideas for a new project. Over the past few days, things have really begun to crystallize in my mind on a lot of details for that book. I’ve begun making some notes for it. I even have a title in mind for it! As I’ve said here before, I don’t like to start work on a project without having a title for it. Even if that title changes later on, I like to something in mind to think of a project by. I’m happy to have a title for this one already, and not to be going through a repeat of the long title choosing process that Desirée Lee and I went through on “Hidden Tribe“!

When will I truly begin work on this book? At this point, I have no idea. Sorry. I’m very excited about it. But Desirée and I are still wrapping up “Hidden Tribe”. After that, we’ll be embarking on a new feature-length screenplay. If,that it, things do come together for that as planned and expected. That film will be in collaboration with the very talented musician Mr. Tom Smith. The script will be based on one of Mr. Smith’s songs. Mr. Smith is also interested in scoring the soundtrack for the project. Please keep watching this blog/website for more information on that project if/when it develops.

After that screenplay, I’d very much like to kick off the “Warder” and/or “Ravenesque” series of books or novellas. We still aren’t 100% sure which route we want to take on those. And, of course, we need to keep up with “MoonWraith“, and duties involving our publishing company, Umbral Press. And there are other books I have in the works, plus other things Desirée and I are coauthoring. Most importantly of all, we’re also parents to a wonderful 21-month-old daughter.

So, this new book idea is on the back burner for now. I’ve no idea when I’ll truly begin work on it. But, in way, that’s a good thing. As I continue thinking about it, new ideas come to me. Hopefully this will result in a richer, better read for you – my fans. As I haven’t really even started this book yet, I don’t want to say too much about it. But it will be fantasy – the genre so many of you have joined me on my journey for. Yet it’ll be a type of book I’ve never written before. The characters will be anthropomorphic animals. Yet the book will be for an adult audience. What I have in planned is something I look forward to writing for you, and fully expect to enjoy creating. I hope all of you will be as excited about reading it as I am about writing it.

“Fright Night” Documentary

Recently, I found out that next year – 2016 – Dead Mouse Productions is releasing a new documentary on the classic vampire horror film “Fright Night”. This project will be a must-see for me. Mr. Roddy McDowall’s portrayal of Peter Vincent was the inspiration for my Wendy Markland character. Find out more about what’s going on with that character in this older post from this blog/website. In the meantime, I’ll be looking forward to “You’re So Cool, Brewster”!

“EverQuest” Request

As I’ve mentioned here before, Desirée Lee and I play “EverQuest“. It’s a great way to relax. And the fantasy RPG actually helps to inspire some of our work. We play a pair of Dwarves in the game. Desirée plays a (currently) Level 69 Cleric named Danora Oakenshield. I play a (currently) Level 70 Rogue named Roltnar Oakenshield. We play on the Trakanon Server. Lately, we’ve been trying to spend more time in-game in the evenings, and on weekends – while Toddler Girl is either napping, or in bed for the night.

Right now, it’s just us, and our characters’ mercenaries questing. We’d love to join up with some other people to form a larger group. So, if anyone would care to spent some fantasy MMORPG time with two bestselling, award-winning fantasy and paranormal authors, please look us up in-game. There’s no set time or day when I can suggest that you look for us. You’ll just have to log-in, and see if we’re there at that time. Or, contact us ahead of time, and we can try to set up a time to be in-game together.

“Hidden Tribe”

Desirée Lee and I are very pleased to announce that we have a title for the sasquatch novel! The book will be called “Hidden Tribe”. Cover design ideas are still being debated, and explored. Once cover art is finalized, I’ll share that here.

In the meantime, we’re still seeking sasquatch researchers, and research groups to review the book. Please see this post for details on that.

Image Question

Several times recently the sasquatch novel that Desirée Lee and I are working on has been mentioned here. The manuscript should be wrapping up soon. We’re still lacking a title for this project, but are narrowing it down. Why are titles so difficult at times?

Anyway, along with the title, cover design is also being narrowed down. For one idea, we need a good close-up image of the face of a sasquatch – either a detailed color drawing or painting – or a photo, or still frame from footage. Looking on-line for free-use images isn’t turning anything up. Most of what we find is cartoon-style clip art that isn’t even remotely what we need. Can anyone help us out?

And, since I’m bringing up this book again, I’ll say once more that we’re still looking for sasquatch investigation groups, and individual researchers to review the book before it’s published. More detail on what we’re looking for along those lines can be found in this recent post.
