Well, we now know the results of the second MRI. After the first, the doctor said there was a “bright spot” on it. The second MRI was so that he could take a closer look at that spot. The closer look revealed that the “bright spot” is actually a cluster of several little spots. The doctor says he isn’t sure what he’s looking at, saying it’s “very unusual”. He wants me to see a neurologist. Right now, we’re waiting on that appointment to be set up.

Again, I want to thank all of you for your patience and support!

As I’ve mentioned on this blog/website before – especially in this post a few months back – “Ghostbusters” is my all-time favorite movie. It might sound strange to say that a comedy changed my life. But “Ghostbusters” introduced me to the paranormal. Since then, I’ve made a serious study of the supernatural, and become a bestselling, award-winning paranormal/fantasy author. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be the same person I am today without “Ghostbusters”. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who was involved in the making of that incredible movie.

Now, sadly, “Ghostbusters” is being given a “reboot”. I’m very, very unhappy about that. A passing-of-the-torch film I could have accepted. But a reboot/remake? No. It’s heartbreaking to me to even think about it. Let this post stand as my official protest against that project. I’m not a fan of remakes/reboots to begin with. Honestly, the only remake I’ve seen that I consider better than the original would be the 1986 version of “Little Shop of Horrors“. I’ve seen the original 1960 version of the film. In fact, we have it here on DVD as part of a classic horror film collection. The 1986 remake is vastly better! But that’s the only exception that comes to mind.

Hollywood, please, please, please stop with the remakes and reboots! Stop messing with classic, great films, and turning them into CGI drivel with no plots, and toilet humor! Give us original material worth watching, not a terrible rehash of what was once a great movie.

MRI #2

Recently I’ve talked a bit here – more than I should, probably! – about my chronic migraines, and depression. These things are still ongoing. I’m still coping with them, doing my best for myself, my family, and all of you – my fans, and readers.

Earlier this week I had a second MRI done. Something turned up on the first one a few weeks ago. The doctor isn’t sure just what, though. It’s a “bright spot” that’s being called “an anomaly”. The MRi earlier this week was to allow the doctor a closer look at it. The “bright spot” could be the cause of the migraines. Or it may have been caused by the migraines. Or it might have nothing whatsoever to do with the migraines. I’m still waiting to hear the results on the newest scan.

In the meantime, work on current projects continues. “Hidden Tribe”, coauthored by myself and my very talented wife Desirée Lee, is still going through edits. I’m working on edits for a book by Eldritch Thorn that is to be published by Umbral Press. Desirée and I are also getting ready to leap into the movie script with Mr. Tom Smith, which will be based on one of Mr. Smith’s fantastic songs. And, of course, we’re keeping up with our hit webcomic, “MoonWraith” during all of this, too.

Hello, everyone. A few days ago I talked a bit about the problems caused by the hacker with my website, and e-mail. The site has been back up for a few days. However, I’ve still been unable to get back into the associated e-mail account. I’m still working on that. Those of you waiting on a response from me via that account, I want to thank you again for your patience.

We’ve heard back from Mr. Tom Smith – the musician we hope to work with on the screenplay project. He’s still interested. So, hopefully, this project will still happen. If it does, this script will be based upon one of Mr. Smith’s songs. Please keep watching for news, and updates!

Father’s Day

I hope that all of my fans and readers who celebrated Father’s Day yesterday had a very good one. I had a fantastic one here.

Improvements have been made regarding the issues talking about in my recent “Technical Difficulties” post earlier this week. My site is back up, and running. However, I’m still unable to log into the e-mail account associated with it. The problem has been traced back to a hacker. Again. This isn’t the first time this has happened. No matter what security measures are taken, this seems to happen every year or two. Hopefully this will be the last time!

Thank you all for your patience.
