Sasquatch—they live peacefully in the forests, and woodlands. They want little, or nothing, to do with humans, and our civilization. As a whole, sasquatch are tranquil, quiet beings who live harmoniously with nature, and avoid us.

But what happens when humans refuse to return the favor?

Researcher Alexia Hollander is about to find out. When she ventures into the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, seeking evidence of the elusive species, things quickly get out of hand. Another researcher deliberately gets in Alexia’s way. Campers, and hunters bumble in, adding their own disruptive presence to the quiet work that Alexia wants to perform.

With their home territory invaded by humans, a mated pair of sasquatch keep the intruders under close surveillance. They aren’t happy about the presence of the trespassers, and want them gone. Just how far will these normally restrained beings go to protect their family, and themselves? Alexia, and her unwanted companions are about to find out!

#FridayReads

#FridayReads is currently trending on Twitter. So, since I have nothing in particular in mind to post here today, I thought I’d might as well take advantage of the trend to remind everyone of my book titles that are still currently available:

Winter’s Rite

It falls to a young Water Nix named Avari to seek out the source of this magick and put a stop to it. As his journey progresses, he encounters a myriad of other beings, some friends, some not.

Well Wishes

When the Princess of the Elven kingdom is taken by a Well Spirit, the Elven king enlists the aid of Avari, the heroic Water Nix who was instrumental in the fall of Veemox the Ur’hunglav only months before. After his attempt to free the Princess results in Fyrnn being taken by the same Spirit, along with the Princess’s best friend, Avari is off on an ocean voyage to a distant, near-mythical island with a reputation from which it earned its name – the Island of Death. Once there, he must confront the terrible creatures which haunt the island in order to bargain with the most powerful Well Spirit of them all to gain the freedom of the captive Elf women. But time is running out for the enslaved Elves. Will Avari make it in time?

Quagmire Fen

Bog skulks are small, mysterious creatures with vicious teeth and claws. They turned up in Quagmire Fen some time ago. No one seems to know what they are or where they came from.

Spencer Foster is a young man who has lived his entire life in the poor backwater of Quagmire Fen. He despises the swamp, and wants only to leave and start a new life in the city with his girlfriend. But his callous drunkard of a father has other ideas.

Very soon, Spencer’s life is irrevocably changed. His destiny is now linked to the bog skulks and Quagmire Fen.

What are the bog skulks? Where did they come from? What is the connection between Spencer Foster and the odd beings he’s given so little thought to?

Getting Ready

Hidden_Tribe_Cover

The new book coauthored by myself and Desirée Lee, “Hidden Tribe“, should be released in the very near future. No exact release date has been set yet, but look for that to happen soon. We’re having a book trailer made for the book, too. That will be ready to go when the book is out. Is everyone else as excited about this project as we are?

Two Pages?

Question_Mark

As you all are probably aware, I have two pages on Facebook. One is the catch-all that I typically refer to as my “goof-off” page. It’s used for keeping in touch with people, movie news, memes, and everything else that people normally use Facebook for. The other one is my fan page. But, busy as things are here, updates to my fan page keep getting put off, and forgotten about.

Question to you all: Should I continue trying to maintain two Facebook pages? Or just consolidate them into one?

New Sasquatch Video

A friend of ours, the gentleman who runs the Bigtruth blog I’m currently doing some writing for, told Desirée Lee and I not too long ago that he had captured a sasquatch on video in the mountains not far from here. He took the video in southern Oregon.

As of yesterday afternoon, his video is on-line. It seems that he didn’t get footage and video of one sasquatch. He got two. And, if he’s right, they’re both big boys! Check out his video here!

So? What do you all think about that sasquatch video?

#MarijuanaMonday

Medical_Marijuana

It’s no secret that both Desirée Lee and myself strongly support the legalization of marijuana for medical use. And, given that I try to get a post up here on this blog/website everyday, Monday – Friday, each week, regardless of whether or not there’s anything new to report to my fans and readers, I’m trying something new. This will help with both of the above points. Starting today, I want to do a #MarijuanaMonday post here in support of the legalization of medical marijuana. So, expect a support post like this now on each Monday, Unless, of course, there’s a bit of on-topic writing news that I really need, or want, to get out there in front of you all. Hopefully my status as a bestselling author will help the cause of legalization.

Do any of you have any objections to a weekly #MarijuanaMonday post here? If so, please let me know.

Happy Mother’s Day 2016

Werewolves

MBT_Promo_02

Like most people, I liked watching horror movies while I was growing up. Also like most people, I had one specific monster type that really freaked me out. I could handle vampires, ghosts, demons, genetic mutants, rampaging extra-terrestrials, and everything else you could through at me – with the exception of werewolves.

For some reason, werewolves scared me – badly! I don’t know what it was about them. But nothing got to me like a werewolf. What made it really bad was the fact that I wouldn’t be able to sleep until I saw the werewolf killed. That’s how most werewolf films end. So, terrified of the werewolf through I might have been, I’d have to sit through the entire movie to see the monster meet its demise at the end if I wanted to sleep.

Luckily, over time, I outgrew that fear of werewolves. Not that I’d want to meet one in full-change; especially at night! Now, I’m the guy writing the werewolves. Two of my books that are unavailable at the moment have used at least one werewolf in each. Plus, Desirée Lee  and I have the hit werewolf webcomic, “MoonWraith“, running. How did I go from being terrified to werewolves to writing about them? I’m still trying to figure that one out myself! I guess it’s some form of therapy. Do other writers end up taking things they were afraid of as children, and writing about them, too?

More Ideas

ravenesque

Not long ago I mentioned here the ideas I have that I’m planning to work into “Ravenesque: Un-Familiar”. Since I’ve set that outline aside, more and more ideas have been coming to mind. One of them will not play much of a role in this opening novella of the series, but will have far-reaching impact throughout the series itself. The more I think about this, the more excited I get about it. More and more I’m looking forward to wrapping up the outline for “Warder: Sometimes Magick Just Isn’t Enough”, and getting back to “Ravenesque: Un-Familiar”!
