1st Day Back

Back to school

School books with apple on desk

Again, I want to apologize to all of you for the lack of recent updates on this blog/website. Our daughter began her second year of Montessori school today. It’s hard for us to believe that our little girl’s first summer vacation is over!

Anyway, with her back in class, hopefully I can get back to something resembling a regular schedule – as much as my trigeminal neuralgia, and fibromyalgia will allow for, that is.

Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia

It’s official. Something that we’d been almost 100% sure of for a while now has been officially diagnosed. I have fibromyalgia. It isn’t fun. And there’s a lot more to it than I ever realized before having to cope with it daily on a personal level.

I don’t intend to allow fibromyalgia keep me from writing, though. I’ll continue writing both for my fans, and for myself.

On a somewhat different note, if there are any fibromyalgia awareness, or research groups out there who would like to consider working with a bestselling, award-winning author to raise awareness for fibromyalgia, please get in touch with me via the “Contact” page of my website.

“Weird Al” Yankovic Concert

Weird_Al_Yankovic

Over the weekend, Desirée Lee, and I took a trip up to Eugene, Oregon to see “Weird Al” Yankovic in concert. It was part of his “Mandatory World Tour”. While Desirée has been to many, many music concerts, this was my first one. It was a terrific show, too! Even with all of the concerts Desirée has been to see, she’s said several times that “Weird Al” puts on a better show than anyone she’s ever seen before. Neither of us will ever be able to look at a port-a-potty the same again, either! If you’ve seen the show, you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, I don’t want to spoil it for you!

Our thanks to Mr. Yankovic, and everyone who helped to make the concert a reality. Our thanks, too, to all of the great staff from the diners we visited, and the motel at which we stayed!
