Great News!

Hi, everyone!

It’s been a while since I’ve had any progress to report; things had pretty much stalled. Now, though, edits are underway for “Mojito Cove” – and so is the cover art! Hopefully I’ll be able to announce a release date for “Mojito Cove” in the near future.

I want to thank you all for joining me on this journey that is my writing career. I appreciate you all!

“Batman” Idea

Earlier today I had a great idea for a story in “Batman”. Having just gotten through “The Joker War” makes the timing for this idea even better – but it wasn’t “The Joker War” that made me think of this. The timing is perfect, though!

What’s the idea? I’m not telling on-line. I’ve had ideas stolen before. I’ve learned that lesson the hard way – more than once.

I have a file containing several “Batman”, or “Detective Comics” story ideas. I’ll write up my newest idea, and keep it in that folder. Should I ever get to pitch my ideas to DC Comics, this will be one for that. I think I’ll lead with this new idea should I ever be able to pitch my ideas directly to DC Comics. Wish me luck that such a day arrives, please!

Blogging Ideas?

Hello, everyone!

Sorry it’s been such a LONG time since I posted here. I haven’t forgotten this blog. I’ve felt guilty, actually, for leaving it quiet for so long. Honestly, though, my writing career is stalled. There hasn’t been anything there to report. I’m still trying to do the Sasquatch Blog posts, but life happened. I’ve also gotten stuck on the current article I’m working on – though I’m going to be turning it in soon.

Anyway…

I’m looking for ideas to liven up this blog. Any suggestions on what I can do? Write what you know, right? Well, Lon Strickler’s paranormal blog “Phantoms and Monsters” pretty much rules that area of ideas. And Lon is a friend; I don’t want to compete with him.

Comic books, maybe? As you all know, I’m a HUGE DC Comics fan. Should I go that route? What do you all think?

See you soon!

“Shallow Graves”

I just finished reading a horror book titled “Shallow Graves”. The book was written by Patrick Logan. It’s the first book is a series. I’ve only read “Shallow Graves” thus far. But…

I LOVED the book. If I were a film producer, I’d option the rights to this in a heartbeat. It has minimal locations, and a small cast. The only problems I see are that there would be a lot of outdoor filming. A lot of the outdoor scenes would be filmed during thunderstorms – sloppy, and muddy.

Still, I think it would be worth it. “Shallow Graves” is a terrific book. A film based on it would, I think, scare the socks off of the audience. If you’re a movie producer, and you’re reading this, please grab a copy of “Shallow Graves”, give it a read, and consider what I’ve said here. Please.

Bees

Bees

Sorry not to have posted anything here for a while. We’ve all been sick here, taking turns with a stomach virus. Plus other things have been going on that I won’t discus here. Nothing much writing-related, sorry to say. But, I wanted to get a post up so you all know I hadn’t forgotten all of you – or this blog.

A few days ago our daughter was eating a bowl of Honeycomb cereal for breakfast. Tami, and I were telling her – in answer to a question – that the cereal is shaped like honeycombs in a bee hive. She looked at a piece of the cereal, and said, “They look like flowers.”

A thought popped into my head. She’s right. The shape of a piece of honeycomb does, a bit, resemble a flower. Bees spend a lot of time or, and near flowers. Could the shape of honeycomb be an attempt on the part of bees to mimic the shape of the flowers they so love? Could the shape be meant as a sort of shrine to flowers?

Just a random thought that I wanted to share.

Stay tuned for writing news as things develop. Again, right now things are moving very slowly. I’m mostly through a self-edit of “Mojito Cove” before turning it over for official editing. That’s about it on that front right now.

North Carolina Sasquatch?

Hello!

My wife, and I wrote about sasquatch in our book “Hidden Tribe“. So, this topic fits right into my work.

A group of researchers in North Carolina claim to have a new photo of sasquatch. See it here, along with reading some details behind the image. What do you think? Is this real?

Let me know your thoughts!

I just wrapped up the first draft of my current WIP, “Mojito Cove”. I’ll self-edit it. Then I’ll turn it over to an editor for real editing. Wish me luck, please!
