“Haze” Update

lighted city buildings during nighttime

Good morning, everyone!

Yesterday I said that a couple of nights ago I had the first 100%, completely sleepless night on my life thanks to my fibromyalgia. I said that I spent the night while awake pondering two WIPs that I have going. One of those I talked about yesterday – “Mojito Cove”. the other of those projects was “Haze”. Or, more accurately, what I’m now planning to be the second book of the series. I’m still working on Book 1 right now.

This new idea for Book 2 will focus the series as a whole, and provide an overreaching plot for the series as a whole. I spent hours thinking this over. I’m excited about the idea. I think you all will be, too.

For now, I’m not going to say anything about it. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I’ve had ideas stolen before after talking about them on-line. I don’t plan to make that mistake again. I will say that Haze is a big city vigilante crime fighter character. Hopefully she’s something that you’ve never seen before. But, with Book 1 still being a work in progress, I won’t say much right now. Hopefully soon!

Stay tuned!

“Mojito Cove” Update

Mojito_02

Good morning, everyone!

Given the long time I spent away from this blog, I honestly can’t remember if I ever talked about “Mojito Cove” here before, or not. If not, or if it’s just been so long that you don’t remember, “Mojito Cove” is a novella I’m working on. It’s one of several WIPs I have at the moment.

For the last few weeks I’ve been stuck on “Mojito Cove”. I hit a proverbial wall with the plot, and couldn’t move past it. Well, two nights ago I had a totally sleepless night. I think it was the first night in my life during which I didn’t get at least a little sleep. Thank you, fibromyalgia insomnia.

Anyway, during that sleepless night, I at least got some mental work done. I kept bouncing between two projects. One of those being “Mojito Cove”. I figured out what I needed to bridge the plot gap I’ve been facing, and pretty much ran mentally through the rest of the novella – which I’m close to winding down, anyway.

I don’t want to say much about “Mojito Cove” here at the moment, as it is still a WIP. Sorry, but I’ve had ideas stolen before after talking about them on-line. I learned that lesson the hard way. I will say, however, that “Mojito Cove” is my first-ever mermaid story. Our 5-year-old daughter is obsessed with mermaids. So, she loves the fact that Daddy is writing a mermaid story. At times I don’t think she fully understands what it is that Daddy does. But just the fact that Daddy is working on something involving a mermaid is cool to her.

Hopefully there’ll be more to report on “Mojito Cove” soon!

Copywriting

Copywriting

Hello, all!

As you know, I’m very happily married. I’m also the father of an amazing 5-year-old daughter. So, the need for money is ever-present. Despite having the status of a bestselling, award-winning author, book royalties alone aren’t enough to pay the bills.

So, who would like to hire said award-winning, bestselling author to do copywriting work for them? If so, please get in touch with me via the “Contact” page of my website. Cost will depend upon the size of the job. I’ve written text for several business websites in the past, so I’m not wholly without experience with work like this.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Speaking Out

Fibromyalgia

Hello, everyone!

As you all know, I have fibromyalgia. For those who don’t know what that is, it’s terrible. It’s several different types of pain. It’s nausea. It’s dizziness. It’s depression. It’s anxiety. It’s memory issues. It’s chronic fatigue. It’s a lot of other issues, too – all rolled into one incurable disease.

As a bestselling author, I’m in a unique position to reach a lot of people. I would very much like to use that to help a fibromyalgia awareness group – be it as a spokesman, or in some other capacity.

If you run such a group, please get in touch via the “Contact” page on my website. I’d love to talk to you.

Harper’s Histories

Sasquatch_Face

Hello, all!

I’m back to work on the next sasquatch history article for Bigtruth. This is the 21st blog post I’ve done in the series. This one focuses on the state of Maryland. I would’ve had this one done ages ago if not for my fibromyalgia, and a bit of miscommunication.

Speaking of sasquatch, just a few minutes ago I was listening to an account of YouTube of a Native American tribesman who claimed to have been in telepathic contact with sasquatch. He claimed they travel to, and from Earth by way of energy portals. I’ve had enough odd things to happen in my own life that I’m not one to quickly dismiss anyone’s claims out of hand. Still, I firmly believe that sasquatch are a fully biological species, native to Earth. I believe them to be some form of primate.

What about all of you? And, please, no one waste time, or space, with posts claiming sasquatch don’t exist. If that’s your belief, fine; keep it to yourself, please. I’ve seen at least one of them, and had other experiences than sightings. I know they’re out there. But I’m curious as to what my readers think of them. Do you think sasquatch are a biological species of Earth? Do you think they’re extraterrestrial? From some other dimension? Let me know, please!
