Sorry to have vanished again right after getting the WiFi issue sorted out. My wife is a sales rep for a company called Perfectly Posh. We had to go up to Portland, Oregon for an event for the company. That took up the past two days. Again, I’m back. Hopefully we can get things back on track now.

He walked across it, and turned my WiFi off. The usual methods of switching it back on wouldn’t work. So, I was off-line for a little while. The issue is resolved – obviously – and I’m back.

“Haze” Update

Good morning, everyone!
Yesterday I said that a couple of nights ago I had the first 100%, completely sleepless night on my life thanks to my fibromyalgia. I said that I spent the night while awake pondering two WIPs that I have going. One of those I talked about yesterday – “Mojito Cove”. the other of those projects was “Haze”. Or, more accurately, what I’m now planning to be the second book of the series. I’m still working on Book 1 right now.
This new idea for Book 2 will focus the series as a whole, and provide an overreaching plot for the series as a whole. I spent hours thinking this over. I’m excited about the idea. I think you all will be, too.
For now, I’m not going to say anything about it. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I’ve had ideas stolen before after talking about them on-line. I don’t plan to make that mistake again. I will say that Haze is a big city vigilante crime fighter character. Hopefully she’s something that you’ve never seen before. But, with Book 1 still being a work in progress, I won’t say much right now. Hopefully soon!

“Mojito Cove” Update
Good morning, everyone!
Given the long time I spent away from this blog, I honestly can’t remember if I ever talked about “Mojito Cove” here before, or not. If not, or if it’s just been so long that you don’t remember, “Mojito Cove” is a novella I’m working on. It’s one of several WIPs I have at the moment.
For the last few weeks I’ve been stuck on “Mojito Cove”. I hit a proverbial wall with the plot, and couldn’t move past it. Well, two nights ago I had a totally sleepless night. I think it was the first night in my life during which I didn’t get at least a little sleep. Thank you, fibromyalgia insomnia.
Anyway, during that sleepless night, I at least got some mental work done. I kept bouncing between two projects. One of those being “Mojito Cove”. I figured out what I needed to bridge the plot gap I’ve been facing, and pretty much ran mentally through the rest of the novella – which I’m close to winding down, anyway.
I don’t want to say much about “Mojito Cove” here at the moment, as it is still a WIP. Sorry, but I’ve had ideas stolen before after talking about them on-line. I learned that lesson the hard way. I will say, however, that “Mojito Cove” is my first-ever mermaid story. Our 5-year-old daughter is obsessed with mermaids. So, she loves the fact that Daddy is writing a mermaid story. At times I don’t think she fully understands what it is that Daddy does. But just the fact that Daddy is working on something involving a mermaid is cool to her.
Hopefully there’ll be more to report on “Mojito Cove” soon!
