Katherine McNamara

katherine_mcnamara

Desirée Lee, and I have been watching “Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments” since the pilot episode aired. We both love the show, and are always eager for the next episode. Watching the show week-to-week, season-to-season, I’ve come to the conclusion that if any film project – be it TV, or movie – is made based upon my Wendy Markland novels (once they’re re-edited, and re-released) I would love to see Katherine McNamara play the role of Wendy Markland. She looks pretty much like I’ve always envisioned the character while writing her. And, having seen Katherine McNamara in so many episodes of “Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments”, I have no doubt that she could handle the role of Wendy Markland with no problems.

As there has been talk of various film versions of my Wendy Markland books since “Predators or Prey?” was first released back in 2007, I wanted to throw this out there. Again, I would love to see Katherine McNamara play Wendy Markland.

New Bookworm Bags

bookworm_bags

You may remember me talking here about Bookworm Bags before. The group was/is a free-to-join collective of authors helping each other out by distributing each others’ promo material.

Sadly, the woman who initially started Bookworm Bags had to walk away from running the group due to health reasons. My wife, known to you all as bestselling author Desirée Lee, and myself have taken the group over, started afresh.

Interested in learning more about the group, or joining us? Just visit Bookworm Bags!

“MoonWraith” Issue #11

MoonWraith_Microfunding_Image

Issue #11 of the hit werewolf horror webcomic “MoonWraith” kicks off today!

For those of you not familiar with it, “MoonWraith” is by myself, and my wife Desirée Lee. We write the stories, and do the artwork, and lettering. “MoonWraith” typically posts at the rate of one page per week – Mondays. The exceptions are when a new issue starts – as is the case today – and Halloween – our favorite holiday. On those days, two pages go up. In the case of a new issue starting, the first of those two pages is the cover that new issue.

“MoonWraith” focuses on a young woman named Kizzy Faw who has been sent by the king to use her gift of the Sight to help find the MoonWraith – a talisman used centuries before to create the race of werewolves. Kizzy has found herself on the front lines of the war, without her Sight.

Desirée Lee Surgery

deslee1

Saturday, my wife – best known to all of you as bestselling author Desirée Lee – went into the ER with gall bladder pain. She was admitted to the hospital, kept overnight, and has surgery to remove her gall bladder yesterday morning.

She’s home, and doing as well as she can be at the moment. She needs time to rest, and heal. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Great New #BookReview

Hidden_Tribe_Cover

Hidden Tribe” has been given another positive book review:

“From the start this pulled me in and would not let go. My grandfather would find evidence of sasquatch so I grew up feeling that they exist. I found this to be a believable tale. The characters were also very well done. I appreciated being able to read the Sasquatch’s POV. Well done as always and I look forward to the next tale from the authors. My only regret is that it was not longer. It stopped in the perfect place, I just want more!”

“Hidden Tribe”

Sasquatch—they live peacefully in the forests, and woodlands. They want little, or nothing, to do with humans, and our civilization. As a whole, sasquatch are tranquil, quiet beings who live harmoniously with nature, and avoid us.

But what happens when humans refuse to return the favor?

Researcher Alexia Hollander is about to find out. When she ventures into the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, seeking evidence of the elusive species, things quickly get out of hand. Another researcher deliberately gets in Alexia’s way. Campers, and hunters bumble in, adding their own disruptive presence to the quiet work that Alexia wants to perform.

With their home territory invaded by humans, a mated pair of sasquatch keep the intruders under close surveillance. They aren’t happy about the presence of the trespassers, and want them gone. Just how far will these normally restrained beings go to protect their family, and themselves? Alexia, and her unwanted companions are about to find out!

Bookstores?

Hidden_Tribe_Cover

We’re in the process of contacting indie author friendly bookstores all over the USA, and Canada, asking them to stock our latest release, “Hidden Tribe“. If you own a bookstore, I’m asking you now to, please, help us out by getting a copy or two of “Hidden Tribe” on your shelves. If you know someone who owns, or works at a bookstore, please ask them to stock “Hidden Tribe” for us. Every store that stocks even a single copy is doing us a huge favor by making the book that much more visible to the public.

Here’s an excerpt from a pre-publication review of the book by a fortean researcher:

“The story was different as it showed the perspective of the creatures themselves and depicted the very real conflict of researchers and individuals in the field who hold different views and values on whether the creature should be killed or not. I appreciate a different kind of storyline and approach to the subject and feel that the writers of the story did a wonderful job making the reader enthralled better educated on the subject at hand and anticipating what is on the next page throughout the read.

I recommend this novel to anyone who likes a good tale and has an interest in the subject of Bigfoot. Keep up the great work Scott and Desiree and thank you both for depicting these mysterious creatures in a more serious and humanistic way. I can’t wait to see what you write next!”
