Predators or Prey Print Front Cover_Small

It’s been brought to my attention that Basin Gaming (1111 Main Street, Klamath Falls, Oregon) has a couple of copies of the out-of-print paperback edition of my first Wendy Markland book, “Predators or Prey?” in stock. So, if anyone is in the area, and wants to grab a copy, now is your chance!

“Predators or Prey?” will – hopefully! – be re-edited, and released under a different publishing label at some point in the future.

Don Pedro Colley

As you all know, Desirée Lee and I recently had the honor of being guests at the 1st Annual Klamath Library ComicCon. One of the other guests there was the esteemed Mr. Don Pedro Colley. Growing up, one of my favorite television series was “The Dukes of Hazzard”. So, I know Mr. Colley best from his reoccurring role as Sheriff Little from that series. When we told my parents that we were going to be appearing at the event along with Mr. Colley, Dad grew very excited, remembering him as Gideon from the TV show “Daniel Boone”.

Honestly, after seeing his portrayal of Sheriff Little, and his role as a tough-as-nails hit man in an episode of “The Greatest American Hero”, and seeing several of his other roles in which he played very gruff, even downright mean, men, I wasn’t sure what to expect from him in person. In truth, he’s a very pleasant, humorous man. Meeting him was a true honor. I would love to work with him on a project sometime. Mr. Colley was kind enough to take a few moments to pose for the above photo with Desirée and myself before the events of the day wrapped up. Both of us look forward to crossing paths with Mr. Colley again in the future.

Our Thanks

Desirée Lee and I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who turned out this past Saturday for the 1st Annual Klamath Library ComicCon. Attendance was fantastic; it was far above and beyond anything that the library had anticipated. Far as know, there were no problems; everyone behaved themselves. The event as a whole was a blast! Desirée and I are also very appreciative of the comments, and compliments we received throughout the day after giving our jointly-presented talk on story plotting as pertaining to short stories, novels, comic books, and film, and the CGI software we use for the creation of “MoonWraith” and “Confluence“.

The 1st Annual Klamath County ComicCon was such a success for the library that we’ve already been told to expect a 2nd Annual Klamath County ComicCon next year. if that happens, both Desirée and myself hope to be part of it. Being there this year was a true honor. We met a lot of wonderful people – both attendees, and other guests – and look forward to seeing everyone again next year. Along with those who missed this year, but are able to turn out for next year’s event.

Again, we thank you all!

Wow! Desirée Lee and I are overwhelmed at the response from the 1st Annual Klamath Library ComicCon event we partook in yesterday. Our thanks to everyone who turned out for the event – not just for us, but for everyone who was there.

Our thanks, too, to everyone at the South Suburban Library in Klamath Falls, Oregon for putting this event together. Such things aren’t easy. They take a huge amount of work. Thank you, everyone, for putting the effort into making the event happen. Hopefully Desirée and I can join in next year for the 2nd Annual Klamath Library ComicCon. It was a true honor for us to be included in this years’ event. Being part of next years’ would be just as big of a pleasure for us.

Ongoing annual events such as this tend to grow from year to year to year. We look forward to seeing the Annual Klamath Library ComicCon enjoy that sort of prosperity and development. It would be our pleasure to help that to come about, as well.

Again, our thanks to everyone for yesterday – pre-existing fans, new fans, people who just stopped to say hi, and everyone else, including the staff at the South Suburban Library!

Book Nymph

Desirée Lee and I live in a small town in the extreme northern part of California. Most of our shopping, and other outings, are done in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Not long ago, a new bookstore opened in Klamath Falls. The store is called the Book Nymph. We have wanted to drop in since the store first opened. But, we’re usually there in the evenings—after the store has closed up shop for the day—and/or have our 15-month-old daughter with us. So, it took us a while to make it into the store.

Last weekend we finally managed it. We were there on Saturday, and our daughter was with her grandmother. So, we took the opportunity to pay a visit to the store. We’re very glad we did. The proprietor is a very nice person. The store is wonderful, and cozy. We fully intend to visit as often as we can.

Also, the Book Nymph will be stocking some of our books just as soon as we can get copies in there. We also have the possibility of a book signing taking place there at some point in the future. Please keep watching this blog/website. If and when such an event takes place, I’ll be posting about it here.

Please pay a visit to the Book Nymph if you’re in the area. You won’t be sorry!
