“MoonWraith”

issue1cover

This is the next-to-last article that we had written for use on “Nuclear Winter Entertainment” before that site shut down.

“MoonWraith” is a webcomic by bestselling paranormal authors Scott Harper and his wife Desirée Lee. Scott and Desirée write the series, as well as creating the artwork by way of three different graphics programs. The end result is artwork that appears to be hand drawn. The webcomic can be found at http://www.MoonWraith.com, and a new page goes live each and every Monday.

Recently, “MoonWraith” was optioned as a movie. As yet, nothing about the film adaptation can be said for legal reasons. Fans should keep a close watch on the “MoonWraith” Facebook and Twitter pages—https://www.facebook.com/MoonWraithComic and https://twitter.com/MoonWraithComic—for news and updates.

Set in Medieval Europe, “MoonWraith” follows Kizzy Faw, a young Seer, sent by the king to use her power of the Sight to help locate the fabled MoonWraith. The MoonWraith is a talisman which was used to create a race of werewolves centuries ago. The werewolves’ population has grown rapidly since their creation. This has led to a war between them and humans. It is hoped that, if the MoonWraith can be found, the same thing that created the werewolves can be used to destroy them. However, on her way, Kizzy and her escort were attacked by a group of werewolves in human form. Kizzy suffered a head injury, which has robbed her of the Sight. Now, she finds herself stuck in a middle of a war against supernatural horrors, bereft of the one reason she had been sent in the first place.

The original concept for “MoonWraith” was as a television series. After years of trying to sell the project—and four agents who did nothing tangible to make the series a reality—Scott and Desirée revamped the concept as a webcomic. The hope was to build up a fan-base for “MoonWraith” the webcomic, and then use that fan-base to help draw in a producer for “MoonWraith” the television series. The plan worked. In fifty weeks of running, the “MoonWraith” webcomic has tallied over 24,500 page views, and caught the attention of a producer. The only twist is that the producer has picked up the project as a film, rather than an ongoing television series.

Again, the webcomic can be found at http://www.MoonWraith.com. New content goes live each and every Monday. Currently, Issue #3 is running on the site. Work is well underway on Issue #4.

Offering A Cover Design Service – Good Idea?

A couple of people who have seen the cover I designed for my upcoming novel “Quintana Roo, Yucatan” have suggested that I might want to think about offering a book and/or DVD cover design service. What do you all think? Good idea? Bad idea? Worth exploring? Please let me know.

However, when his training under her tutelage blossoms into romance and a werewolf hunter and a rival pack arrive in the area, Felix’s life becomes a lot more complicated.

Meanwhile, superstar author and psychic vampire Eugen Zahn is finding his own life made more complex and dangerous by another of his own kind, as well as a new reporter with a grudge. Events in Eugen’s life, unbeknownst to him, are putting him on a collision course with Felix Hollerman and the mess his own life has become.
