“MoonWraith” – TV Pilot Seeking Producer

Option “MoonWraith” for $3,000 for one year.

MOONWRAITH is the story of a young woman named Kizzy Faw. Kizzy is a Seer, sent by the King, into the heart of a war between humans and werewolves. The werewolves were created centuries ago by a sorcerer using a talisman known as the MoonWraith. Scholars and historians working for the King believe that they have located the hiding place of the MoonWraith—an ancient silver mine. A fort has been built atop the mine. In the fort, miners work at expanding the mine, actively seeking the lost MoonWraith. Silversmiths work silver ore dug out by the miners into weapons. Soldiers use these silver weapons to defend the fort against the werewolves, who seek to prevent the humans from locating the MoonWraith. The werewolves do not want the MoonWraith found because they fear the very thing the King hopes for—that the object which originally made the werewolves can be used to eradicate them.

“Monster Lab” – Indie Screenplay Seeking Producer

Option “Monster Lab” for $3,000 for one year.

Logline: College folklore professor Wade Sarkis is forced by the US military to help deal with werewolves that were created in a research experiment gone wrong.

Synopsis: Wade Sarkis is confronted by representatives of the US military. They tell him his knowledge is needed, but are under orders not to reveal more information to him. They take Wade to a hidden, subterranean government laboratory.

Quickly, Wade meets General Brant Wierman. Wierman explains to Wade that the facility Wade has been brought to had been running experiments aimed at grafting wolf DNA to humans in the hopes of curing deafness. Things went wrong, and the test subjects have become human/wolf hybrid creatures—genetically engineered werewolves. No cure they’ve tried has worked. The military has brought Wade in out of the desperate hope that a cure can be found in mythology. Wade is shown shocking proof of Wierman’s claims, and tries to leave, only to learn that he is effectively a prisoner of the US government until the matter has been resolved.

Wade begins working with the beautiful Dr. Alanna Quesnell—the lab’s lead scientist. Very soon after their collaborative research gets underway, the werewolves escape. The creatures bite a number of scientists and soldiers in the facility. The bites transfer genetic material and gene splicing chemicals to the victims, causing them to change into more werewolves.

The domino process continues, and more and more of people in the base are killed or turned—including Wierman—until Wade and Alanna are all that are left. Trapped in the base, with no hope of curing the unfortunates who have been turned, Wade and Alanna settle upon a new plan. They opt to destroy the lab, killing the werewolves, before any can escape into the outside world.

Wade and Alanna dodge werewolves to gather parts for a make-shift bomb, and reach a boiler. They plant the bomb and set the timer. They then struggle to make it clear of the lab before the bomb goes off.

After encountering more werewolves—including Wierman—Wade and Alanna escape just in time.

The film ends with them receiving medical attention, preparing for a debriefing on what has transpired.

“Dark River Lords” – Indie Screenplay Seeking Producer

Option “Dark River Lords” for $3,000 for one year.

Logline: In this intense action/drama, a man undertakes a harrowing quest to defeat the tyrant king of a rival land, and rescue the princess he is responsible for protecting—and with whom his is in love with.

Synopsis: Brom Grey is aboard a river-bound war ship, trailing Hadrian de Bolbec—lord of a neighboring kingdom—who has kidnapped Princess Emeline Payne. De Bolbec plans to force Emeline to marry him, then kill her and her parents. This would make him ruler of two kingdoms. Everyone thinks that Brom is out to save Emeline because, as Captain of her personal guard, he’s sworn to protect her. What no one else knows is that Brom is in love with the princess.

After Brom’s ship is damaged by unusual weapons, he sets out on a skiff to try and catch the other ship. Unbeknownst to him, Emeline manages to escape de Bolbec and takes to the forest to hide. When de Bolbec learns that Emeline is gone, he sends men out to recover her. Brom sees the men leaving the ship, realizes that Emeline has escaped and sets off into the woods after her, following the enemy.

A storm moves in and Emeline takes shelter in a barn. She is discovered the landowner, Thad Dargin. He is a selfish, greedy, lecherous man. When Emeline tried to escape, he threatens her with a pitchfork. She screams, drawing the attention of the enemy men and Brom.

De Bolbec’s men rush in, saving Emeline from Thad, and Thad realizes who she is. Brom arrives moments later. After a pitched battle, Brom escapes with Emeline and Thad into the woods, forcing Thad to help, as he knows the land. De Bolbec’s men give chase.

When Thad tries to help de Bolbec’s men, Brom kills him and escapes with Emeline to the newly-repaired warship. They set out for home and Brom declares his love for Emeline. He is shocked to learn that she feels the same about him. De Bolbec follows them in his own ship.

Arriving at Castle Payne, Emeline’s parents are ready to heap rewards on Brom, but de Bolbec arrives. He activates groups of “sleepers” in the Castle Payne, setting off a large battle. The battle ends when Brom kills de Bolbec in a duel.

The film ends with the wedding of Brom and Emeline and the knowledge that, one day, Brom will rule as King.

Desirée Lee and I have had something potentially very good to happen with a film project. We can’t say much – anything, really – at this point. Hopefully that will change on this coming Monday. Please wish us luck! If something does happen with this, I’ll post here about it soon as I can.

Legal

A year ago I first started talking here about a project that my wife – bestselling, award-winning author Desirée Lee – and myself hope to do with the amazing musical talent Mr. Tom Smith. We still hope that project will happen. Mr. Smith still wants to do the film. He still likes the ideas we’ve put before him. However, doing a screenplay based on a musician’s song is new territory for us, and Mr. Smith. We had hoped to begin moving on this film project once our new book, “Hidden Tribe“, had wrapped up. “Hidden Tribe” is currently in edits. Currently, Mr. Smith is exploring the legal issues, and red tape, involved with the project we want to do. Business is business. Both we, and he, need to be protected. So, hopefully this project comes together soon. Please keep watching for updates!

Consulting

I’m the bestselling, award-winning author of 30+ published short stories, eight novels, and one novella. My wife Desirée Lee, and myself write, and create the hit mature audience werewolf horror webcomic “MoonWraith”. I’ve also done other comic book work, and branched out into screenplays.

Also, I’m Wiccan, and have made a study and practice of magick. Years of my life have also been devoted to the study of, and dealing with, various aspects of the supernatural, and cryptozoology.

I’d be willing and able to work in the capacity of a consultant in any of the above topics, or fields. That goes for research projects, books, or practical applications. Please just contact me via my website. I have no doubt that we can work out a fair fee for my time and energies. I look forward to hearing from you!

Crowdfunding?

Recently I talked a bit here about how a director had begun reading the movie script for “Dart“. He likes the project, and is very interested. “Dart” would be a fairly low-budget film to make. The director is interested in trying crowdfunding to gain the needed funds for this. However, when I’ve tried crowdfunding in the past I’ve not had any luck with it at all. Can anyone reading this help make such a page a success for us in the event the director does try that route on this project? Suggestions? Comments?

Director

Dart_Amazon_Studios_Art

I have a bit of good news to share. I’ve mentioned before here about several screenplays that I’m trying to find homes for. One of those is an action script titled “Dart“. A director is now reading over that script. Should anything happen on this front, I’ll report what I can, when I can, here on this site/blog.

Wish me luck, please!

Hopeful

We’ve heard back from Mr. Tom Smith – the musician we hope to work with on the screenplay project. He’s still interested. So, hopefully, this project will still happen. If it does, this script will be based upon one of Mr. Smith’s songs. Please keep watching for news, and updates!
